Greetings from the President/CEO

Last year, Nakamuraya celebrated the 120th anniversary of its founding. I would like to express my sincere appreciation for all our customers and partners, without whose support this would not have been possible.

Nakamuraya began life as a small store. Inheriting the founder’s management philosophy that cherishes sincerity and research and continuing to innovate and take on challenges through trial and error, we have striven to develop products and distribution channels that meet contemporary needs.

Nakamuraya invented a bun with a custard filling, a first for Japan at the time, as well as rolling out Chinese dumplings, Indian curry, other unique products and a number of distinctive sweets. These products have long been popular favorites for our customers. As a history-making flagship outlet, community residents and many other customers support our direct sales store and restaurant based in Shinjuku, which strives to go the extra mile to keep delivering new value.

We may not be the most spectacular of companies, but our customers still smile when savoring the taste of a Nakamuraya product in their mouths. We hope to continue delivering such safe and delicious services as a top priority.

Our new management philosophy centers on this phase, which we revised by going back to the roots of the founder’s belief on the milestone occasion of the 120th anniversary. In other words, it is a “key basis for our roadmap” to support Nakamuraya’s progress over the next two centuries to come.

Exploiting diversifying needs, continuing to challenge the creation of new value and sharing the excitement and joy we achieve with our partners, customers and irreplaceable colleagues. Hopes like these are what underpin our new management philosophy.

As time goes by, both society and people’s emotions are enriched by experiencing exciting moments where people are wowed by deliciousness. We will continue to face challenges like these.
